What Do Presbyterians Believe?
The Presbyerian Church is a part of the "Reformed Tradition" that traces its roots back to the Swiss Reformation. The Reformed Tradition emphasizes traditional Christian beliefs (Trinity, Incarnation) and Protestant beliefs (Justification and Scripture) as well as some additional distinctions. _________________________________________ Key Tenets of the Reformed Faith 1. Elders run Presbyterian Churches. This term became poular in the Church of Scotland and was brought to America by Scottish settlers who began naming their churches "Presbyterian." |
